• Beginning Again

    Marianella’s TOEFL journey started about 4 years ago. She prepared for her first attempt by herself, but unfortunately she wasn’t able to pass. Then, as with a lot of TOEFL students, life took her in a different direction for the next few years…

  • Finding Help

    It wasn’t until May of 2020 that she started searching for a TOEFL solution. She came across Magoosh during her search and began using their material. Her test was scheduled for the end of the month, so she had about 4 weeks to prepare.

    But as the date got closer and closer, she started to feel worried. She didn’t feel like she was ready. Magoosh’s resources were helping, but it was hard to know exactly what and how to improve without a live class format. She needed someone to tell her exactly what she needed to work on. 

    Marianella’s test day was fast approaching, and she was scared. School was going to start again soon and she was running out of time to pass the TOEFL. She knew she wasn’t going to be able to pass if something didn’t change…

    And as luck would have it, something did! She found out that her test was being rescheduled for the middle of July! 

    Thankfully, she could breathe easily again. And more importantly, she had time to look for a TOEFL solution!

    At the beginning of June, Marianella found her solution through a friend. Her friend was a part of a TOEFL Facebook group where she had seen several people recommend NoteFull. So, she suggested that she try us out.

    She searched through our website and decided to sign up for our June Gold Course as well as Speaking Small Group Tutoring.

    Going through the classes, Marianella quickly realized that this is what she was missing. She needed individual attention to identify and improve her unique weaknesses. Joseph’s positive attitude and encouragement was also a huge plus for her. 

    NoteFull’s methods were very helpful to her, but Marianella is the type of person who needs positive reinforcement to keep pushing. The support from Joseph as a native English speaker greatly boosted her confidence and made her feel like she really could do it!

    By the time July 15th rolled around, she knew she was ready…

  • On Their Way

    When she got her results back, she earned a total score of 95 with at least a 23 in each section. Amazing! 

    Marianella still has a few more tests to take to complete her teacher certification, but after defeating the TOEFL she feels like she’s ready for anything! 

    Her advice to her fellow TOEFL students is to use NoteFull’s self-study courses and Small Group Tutoring. However, she says to be sure to go over the self-study material for about a month first to learn NoteFull’s strategies. That way when Joseph and the team reference them during the tutoring classes you’ll be ready for it.
