Mostafa F. is a student of ours who came to us from Iran. It was his hope to get his dream TOEFL scores so he could study abroad.
He first started studying for the TOEFL late in the summer of 2017.
And it wasn’t long before he found out that the TOEFL requires a mix of knowledge and unique strategies…
Beginning Again
Mostafa’s reading and listening skills were good. But his challenge was improving his scores in the speaking and writing sections. On his first attempt he was able to get a total score of 92. But he needed a 100 to move forward with his studies.

Finding Help
Then, while searching for a solution, one of his friends told him how much NoteFull had helped them. So he decided to sign up for our Complete TOEFL Mastery self-study program, One-on-One Tutoring, and email support.
He only had enough time for one tutoring session with Nayyer in October of 2018. But Mostafa made sure to make the most of it!
They worked hard on writing question 2 and some of the grammar issues that were hurting his score. Nayyer taught him how to build a stronger answer by using 2 contrasting arguments in each body paragraph.
He learned to avoid using big words in sentences where they didn’t belong. And also how to avoid using sentence structure that didn’t sound natural.
In the weeks leading up to his second attempt, Mostafa sent in several essays and speaking recordings for review. The feedback he got was just what he needed. It showed him whether or not he was on the right track and pushed him in the right direction…
“I had only one review session, and Nayyer helped me by evaluating some of my practices and giving me some feedback during the three last weeks. These pieces of help were enormous because I realized my weaknesses and even that I do not need to be perfect to get a good score. I just need to fulfill some requirements that are important in TOEFL.”
On Their Way
Thanks to all his hard work, on November 17th, 2018, Mostafa was able to bring his scores up in all 4 sections and get his dream score of 100!
Now he is free to chase his dream of getting his Ph.D. abroad. Congrats, Mostafa! We wish you the best!
