• Beginning Again

    “I said to myself I gotta do it as fast as I can, I’m not going to waste my time and leave circumstances and conditions determine my life.”

    John’s challenge was meeting the TOEFL scores that the pharmacy board requires. He began using several different study methods. He used resources like Kaplan, Cambridge, and ETS. He borrowed resources from fellow test-takers. And he spoke with a lot of other pharmacists who had already reached their TOEFL dream scores. Their friendly advice helped him to stay motivated.

    He was excited to get his results back every time he took the test. But he ended up being disappointed each time…

    “It turned out to be hopeless, no faith…I have been through a depressed phase in which I was just running in a circle that has a obvious no end.”

    It’s so easy to fall into that endless cycle. With nowhere to turn it can seem pointless to keep going. But John knew he couldn’t give up. He stayed strong and committed to getting his dream scores.

  • Finding Help

    He found his TOEFL solution in NoteFull’s 3-Step Reading Mastery and 6-Step Speaking Mastery programs. Before long, his reading scores shot up! But his speaking score was still lacking. Towards the end of his journey he was really just taking the TOEFL to pass the speaking section.

    “Still struggling with speaking, I did everything it takes… even at my pharmacy trying to either use my lunch to study or skip it to get back home early to have time to study, I was written up 3 times because of all I did in a trial to pass it.”

    John then signed up for Tutoring Sessions with Mathew and Lauren. And Joseph reached out to him when he really needed support. 

    Their help was invaluable! Mathew’s feedback was very useful. Lauren helped him stay motivated by telling him: “YOU CAN DO IT”. And Joseph directed him to a page in one of his programs that said:

    This inspired him to give 110%! He then looked to our success stories page for even more motivation. The tales of the many successful NoteFull students of the past inspired him to work day in and day out. And he didn’t let up until he got what he wanted…

  • On Their Way

    John finally got his dream score in the speaking section and a total score of 98! He came out of the test thinking he didn’t do well. But he was ecstatic with his results!

    Here is John’s final advice to you:

    “1) Miracles happen but you have to [work, too] 

    2) Study everyday and practice a lot

    3) Surround your self with positive people that will shorten your marathon

    4) Believe in yourself and don’t Lose FAITH or HOPE

    5) STRIKE and BEAT IT”
