Beginning Again

Like many students, Giselle’s challenge was time management…

“A lack of time to focus on my studies was a struggle because I work full time and have two young kids…I would get very frustrated and take several weeks without studying.”

We all have many different things to do that occupy a lot of our time each day. If we don’t make time for our studies, it can be very hard to fit them in. By the time we’re done with our daily tasks it seems like there’s no energy or time left for anything else. 

Giselle had all the excuses in the world to stop studying. A full time job. Two children. But she found a way to make it work. And that gave her strength to keep moving forward.

Finding Help

One day, when Giselle was searching online for a solution…

“I found NoteFull on a forum for foreigners who were trained pharmacists…many members of that group were struggling for years with TOEFL before they found NoteFull.”

Giselle joined NoteFull in November of 2014 after she read about the success of the other students in the online forum. She started out by signing up for the Complete TOEFL Mastery program.

She had a long commute to work each day. So she decided to use that time to study her new NoteFull program. 

“The NoteFull program is all online, so it requires an internet connection and that’s very difficult to get on the train. It was very difficult to manage my time! But, I was very persistent.”

To see where she was at, Giselle signed up for a preliminary review. Her results showed her that she was on the right track and what she needed to work on moving forward. Throughout her journey, she took many reviews to track her progress. She was creating her own path to success, one step at a time.

On Their Way

Giselle gave up all her excuses to avoid studying for the TOEFL. She put her heart and soul into creating a path to her dream scores. And thanks to her commitment, she was able to achieve what she set out to do:

She passed the TOEFL on her very first try!

But don’t be fooled. As you just read, this wasn’t an easy year for her. She had to make time to study on top of working full time and taking care of 2 kids. It took a lot of hard work and time management. She stayed optimistic and kept working until she finally felt ready to take down the TOEFL. 

“I studied an average of two hours a day and about 8-10 hours per week. I knew I was ready for the TOEFL when I started getting good, consistent scores on my NoteFull reviews…For the speaking section, it’s very important to practice all the time and listen to yourself. I found it very helpful to listen to my recordings over and over, so I knew what to improve.”

Now she can shift her full focus to achieving her dream of becoming a fully licensed pharmacist! Congrats, Giselle!
