Now, prepare to feel even more TOEFL strength in 3 simple steps that we've made for you:
1) Go through this entire page to change stress, worry, and doubt into real confidence and success. Stress is one of the biggest factors that causes students who have studied hard to see no improvement. Why? Because when you're stressed, you return to old, bad TOEFL habits.
2) Take notes on what you don't understand or didn't know. Then, use that to improve your S.M.A.R.T. TOEFL study plan to hit your goal TOEFL score. Include notes on parts of this page you find especially helpful to ensure that you stay CONFIDENT and strong as you study.
3) Building TOEFL confidence will challenge you greatly as you study. It's easy to wonder, question, doubt, and worry. But, those emotions need to be accepted AND surpassed if you're serious about TOEFL success now.
Confidence is essential for you to stay focused and improve as quickly as possible. We know this and that's why within each of our TOEFL programs--including even this free course--, our tutoring sessions, and reviews, we build your TOEFL confidence as well as your TOEFL skills.

“So what? I'm stressed out! What can I do?” back to top
Don't worry. If you're feeling stress, we have several tools to help you through it:
1. Take action now
Take a deep breath right now.
Did you breathe? If you didn't, don't move forward on this page until you do. Inhale and exhale. Inhale and exhale.
At this point, you should already feel better. Do this before you practice every reading, listening, speaking, or writing. It reduces your heart rate, breaks negative patterns, and gets you focused.
Remember to breathe.
2. Change your thinking
Before you start studying or when stress creeps in, tell yourself in your head or out loud or both, “I can do it.” It’s amazing how comfortable we are with negative self talk. It’s easy for someone to say, “I won’t do it.” But, it’s hard to say, “I can do it.” Without getting into the psychology of it, say “I can do it,” believe it, and keep moving forward. Repeat this often; do it in front of a mirror if you have to, but never forget those words: "I can do it!"
3. Motivate yourself
Make a habit of visiting this Confidence page anytime you start to feel overwhelmed.
We will work hard to keep you motivated and stress-free by regularly updating the page with great, new inspirational pictures, stories, videos, and webinars.
