Reply RONAK BHOJAK wrote on Tuesday October 13, 2009 2:29am There are good reasons to oppose the construction of a new theater,in the interest of preserving the neighborhood as a desirable place to live.Although, theater an bring advantages with it,in the form of incresed business for the hotels and shops nearby,but ,a movie theater ,by its very nature ,also carries with it serious disadvantages which must be checked carefully before passing an approval.. One drawback to the theater is the large crowds it will attract.Crowds means traffic and litter.Traffic means increasing pollutions.It costs time and money to deal with these conditions .Streets must be repaired more often,at considerable expense,because of increased traffic. Then there is the behavior of theatergoers to consider.People having good time make noise,drink,and generally cause annoyances for people living nearby.These will effect more for the teenagers during the weekends .They will use this as an excuse for enjoying....but this enjoying will lead to drug activity and fights. The last argument against against the theater is to question whether its value as a source of entertainment is significant to all.As there are many sources to enjoy without going to movie-theater like television,videos and cable. Looking at so many drawbacks of a movie-theater and the disturbances and problems faced by the neighborhood i generally,oppose the theater plan....

Reply deepika wrote on Friday October 9, 2009 3:47am A residential area is the place where there is calm and peace.Places near are residential area are parks where children play,old people walk in the evening and the place is filled most of the time with the people who are residents.Some people support theater near their house and some oppose. In my view ,theater should not be built in my neighborhood for the following reasons. First,the theater creates noise and disturbance for the people living around.The sound in the theater is so loud that it will affect the peace of the residents.For example ,the willow lake had theater near by.The loud sound which theater produced disturbed people's sleep in the afternoon and the residents who came tired from their work where frustrated by this loud noise.Thus,the willow lake residents made a complaint on that theater which led to close the theater. Second,theater near the house increases traffic.Large number of people come to watch movies in the theater that will lead to more traffic.The residents will face problem because of this traffic.Thus,it will be difficult for residents to ride in traffic as it will take much time. Finally,theater near the house will affect the peace of people by producing noise and creating more traffic.

On one hand theater near the house create noise.The theater produce loud noise of the film which may disturb peoples' sleep during afternoon and night.Some people like to live in the calm area and the film noise may disturb their calmness. On the other hand,theater is always crowded with people which may affect the parking and traffic near the house. To sum up,buiding a theater near my house affect peace by increasing crowd and noise.Thus,theater should be built near a place where people go their to spend little time like market,park,etc.
